New release protects customers’ scanner hardware investment with next generation TWAIN interface

The new release of the powerful distributed document scanning software features an updated TWAIN interface for increased scanner functionality and a multi-image viewer for better image processing.

AnyDoc®CAPTUREit allows users to scan anywhere from thousands of documents per hour to just a few forms on the fly from local or distributed office locations. AnyDoc®CAPTUREit’s upgraded TWAIN compatibility lets users directly control scanner features without the additional cost of third-party external drivers. AnyDoc®CAPTUREit 2.0 provides immediate access to the complete functionality of any scanner, past, present or future that has a TWAIN driver.

In addition, AnyDoc®CAPTUREit 2.0 lets a user simultaneously view multiple images during the quality assurance phase. With the multi-image viewer, users can review the image quality of all scanned documents in a single screen. The fully-configurable image display lets users verify images were scanned properly and all document sets were grouped appropriately. Images can be quickly reordered with a simple drag and drop of the image or with the new tree controls. Documents missing from the batch or blacked out images can now be scanned and inserted into the appropriate location without having to rescan entire batches. Additional Support for Kofax VRS® and new Kodak scanner features including dual-stream and grayscale image support have also been added.
